Watercolour of one of Paris' most hidden passageways. Galerie Véro-Dodat is a historic covered passageway in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, connecting 19 rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau to 2 rue du Bouloi, near the Louvre and Palais-Royal. Built in 1826 by entrepreneurs Benoît Véro and François Dodat.
Even though it is very central it’s quite low key. Home to antique shops, art galleries, and the famous Christian Louboutin flagship stores.
It was the first Parisian passageway lit by gas. It’s upmarket feel supported by its own cafe on the corner!
