From a poor French Orphan to the most high end retailer in the world...
 
The original Hermès store, which remains the brand’s flagship boutique, is located at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris’s 8th arrondissement. Home to Hermès since 1880, making it the oldest store on this high-end shopping street.
 
The space at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré initially served as Thierry Hermès’s workshop. Hermès made leather goods for horseriding but In 1889, it was transformed into a boutique. It expanded by buying the neighbvouring stores and became vey popular in the 1930's with its first scarf.
