St Paul’s Church, located in Harlow town centre, is a modern Anglican church built in 1959 as part of the Harlow New Town development. Designed by Derrick Humphrys and R.W. Hurst, it features a copper-covered spire rising 95 feet and a striking mosaic by John Piper depicting the Risen Christ at Emmaus. The church was listed as Grade II in 2007 for its architectural and artistic importance.

 

The church It ranked among the top ten in the National Churches Trust’s Best Modern Churches competition and is celebrated for its vibrant interior design and furnishings
