Turnbull & Asser is a renowned British shirtmaker established in 1885, with its flagship store located at 71-72 Jermyn Street in the St James’s area of London.
Turnbull & Asser in St James’s has strong links to the legacy of Beau Brummell, the original British dandy and arbiter of men’s style in Regency England. Brummell is credited with establishing tailored dressing, the wearing of trousers, neckties, and the modern suit, setting the foundation for men’s fashion as we know it today.
Also Brummell's grandfather owned a sweet shop on the site of the Turnbull &Asser back in the early C18.
